DinoTrek advertisement can be seen all over Kuching, banners are everywhere, newspapers have reported how interesting it is. So, it caught my attention to visit this dinosaur exhibition, organized by Petronas. Hmmm...... I never put high hope on this visit because being in Malaysia for so long, I know how Malaysian people work. On the other side, how interesting can it be when they held it in such a small place like Dewan Tun Abdul Razak??
Without my surprise, I got irritated when I first reached there. The queue was long. Thinking that it might be so "interesting" that it attracted so many people. But when I walked closer, WHAT?? we actually need to buy ticket??? S**t. They didn't even mention in newspapers or ads? Charging one adult for RM5 and kids for RM3. The entrance fees seem quite okay to me however......the exhibition does not meet my expectation at all. Some more, we have to line up for so long because there is only one person selling tickets at the counter??? I didn't realize that Petronas or the parties involved are so lack of manpower? I got more frustrated when they announced that the entry is according to the time slots. I reached there at 10am ad the time slots I get was 1.30pm!!!! They never mention at all about all these in the ads. Guess what?? it really turned some tourists off from visiting the exhibition. This is how it looked when I first entered. Games for kids??**Cheh** I can only think of one word--"LAME". The activities or the games are not creative or innovative, and the ways they present is just so dull, lifeless.
Let me show you how big the exhibition is......this is actually a quarter of the exhibition. Can you imagine how small it is?
Ooowhh......Look, how cute the dinosaur is...*Sweat*
The exhibition is so "nice" that I can spend less than 10 minutes to actually finish walking one round. Anyone who intends to go or those who has been to the exhibition, please tell me what is so MYSTERY? MAGIC? & SCIENCE?
I can be the Mystery & Magic--the TAUFUSAURUS!!!!~Roar~~~
Have you ever wonder who do you look like other than your parents or your siblings??? One thing for sure, my face does not look like a TAUFU okie!! Which celebrity do I look alike?? Brad Pitt?**Cough** I believe I am more handsome than him..... (HAHAHA). Here are few celebrities who are so proud to have the look of me.

By the way girls, these 2 guys are damn rich, so you might consider to go after them. **LOL**
Back to hometown was a wonderful week. My cousin's wedding in addition to the celebration of Chinese New Year have made the week such a memorable one. Being the last one among my friends who arrived in kuching, I am even more excited looking forward to this year Chinese New Year. I am extremely happy because this year kuching people are standing out to commit more illegal acts.**LOL** Fireworks have increased more compared to the previous years. This is the only moment where so many Malaysians break the law at the same time.
"How wonderful.... A place like no others"
Rushing back to the town of pineapple, Sarikei on the second day of CNY early in the morning at 5.30am was fun. My cousin's wedding took place on the third day of CNY. It is considered rare to see such a traditional wedding in these days. It's sure give me a great experience to witness the whole process. Having a traditional Foochow wedding is not easy, lots of, lots of, lots of preparation have to be done......Looking at my aunt, I knew she has not slept for few days just to prepare the wedding for her daughter, on the day itself, even my mother and other aunts have to wake up 3 am to help out my cousin's wedding.
Proud to be Foochow though I am not really a pure blood Foochow. This is how we start the day, eating longevity noodles and sumptuous chicken soup at 7 in the morning at my cousin's house.
Yummy, yummy!!!
More relatives filling up the spaces of the house. Kepoh cousin like me **Hehehe** will definitely looking here and there, see how the tradition goes. I am confused and at times not knowing the meaning behind the tradition. Trust me, it is really very traditional until my grandmother can't even remember or understand some of it. Like the one picture below, what exactly it means?? I guess perhaps having the right shoes to wear meaning that you have married to the right person?? or you will have more shoes to wear after wedding??
Cinderella??
Later on, the mother and aunts will help to put tonnes of gold on my cousin. Hmmm.......
SEE!! How valuable my cousin is!!
I realize a weirdo who turn out to be the cameraman or videoman or whatever man larh. Look at his hair...OMG, so colourful and he does not look professional at all. I got a shock. He is my cousin which is just few months younger than me. **Wuahaha** We are very close with each other when we were still young last time *Cough* *Cough* I mean we are still young now, I mean when we were still little kids. *Sweat*
Here comes the most thrilling part, the obstacles before the groom can meet the bride. This is a history breaking record because usually there are more than 5 persons in sisterhood to come out the obstacles. but this time, there were only 2 persons who is my sister and the other cousin. Amazing right?? 2 against so many guys. **Jiang Jiang Jiang........** The first obstacles...
Oooo.....How sweet?? (Forget about the tunes or pitching, This is not Malaysian Idols)
Second obstacles was proposed to my cousin because he never proposed before. Thirdly, he has to eat 8 eggs.
Touching....Even me feel like crying
Time for my cousin to leave, her brother has to walk around the car 3 times with the red fan, holding the red cloth on the car and moving in & out for 3 times as well.
Don't ask me. I have no idea what it means.
Later at afternoon, it's wedding 'lunch' (Weird isn't it??) No choice, they have another wedding dinner at Sibu (groom side).
Since you been gone (Sin Chew Jit Poh)
Out of nowhere, a poor fellow claiming herself as a journalist from the local newspaper " Since You Been Gone" appeared during the lunch. She asked us to pay her money so that she can advertised the event in the newspaper. **OMG** I didn't know they are so poor until the stage coming to people's wedding looking for source of income??? Unbelievable.
Force by the crowd. I am straight, okie.
I really like the atmosphere of traditional wedding unlike some other bloggers or people. It might look complicated and consider unnecessary but it is our origin. Sometimes it is good especially for people like us, the so-called modern people to go through such experience. You will find lots of fun in it too.
Two days from Chinese New Year. I am so eager to get my hair cut because my hair is growing tremendously fast as it is fertilized. Hoping to get back to the Plus One Unisex saloon to get my hair done, but my friend and her StarWars sisters were unable to go due to a "war" going on. Since I went to do some shopping with 2 shop-for-shoes-only friends, namely kam zing and elaine. I wonder how many pair of feet they have?? Are they Octopus women??
They like crying too....**LOL**
I saw many saloon in Money River, and it makes me a bit headache. Some hairstylists like lala, others like gangster. I came across this saloon and it attracts my attention because of not only there were lots of people in it but as well as their design too.
Simple & Nice
People usually will go for professional hairstylist but I chose senior hairstylist . First is to see whether their SiFu good in teaching or not, secondly **Evil Smile** to test their abilities.
This is my hairstylist ...call Ah Yee.
She is a nice lady no doubt. We have a great talk and she is a bit hilarious. She also found out that I am not local people from the way I speak Cantonese. She thought I was from Taiwan at first. **hahaha** Do I look like Taiwanese? Less than half an hour, my hair is done. Hmmmm.............
Does it looks nice??
To be frank, I am not really impressed with my new hairstyle compared to the saloon at Rawang. Nothing new, I would say beside it looks shorter and some of friends didn't even notice that I cut my hair. **A bit disappointed**Ah Yee, you still can improve de and smoke less, ok?? Anyway, it's going to be my new hairstyle for the coming Chinese New Year. **YeeHaa** Excited, because I am going back to my hometown, KUCHING!! & there is going to be a special occasion. So, I will be away from The Golden Gates for 1 week.
Valentine's Day. A day where all the dating girls looking forward but it might be the other way round for some guys and bachelors. Where the hack is Valentine coming from? Lots of ppl only know Valentine is just a day for couples to celebrate. Just to let everyone, Valentine's day is actually said to be originated in Rome. A cruel emperor of Rome, Claudius cancelled all the marriages and engagements so that men can join his military. This was the time where a Christian priest, Valentine came to defend and he was out into jail till he died on 14 February which is the day where all the people celebrate Valentine's Day. If you would like to know more, just click here.
A sweet day?? or a revenge day?? Some people are cruel, they choose valentine to revenge and make the other partner feels really sad. Some couples are undeniably truly appreciate and love each other. **Sigh** When people are in different situation, they see things from different point of view. Bachelor like me is a bit quite sad of course. My friend told me that it has been a very 2 sad decades of life that we--the bachelors have gone through. It is not only us . There are also some girls who remain single.
Is that our fault?? I have no idea. Looking all my friends, be it straight, lesbians or gays, they are happy and I am happy also looking they all though I am single. Wishing them the best. I believe faith all the time and years go by, I am still waiting for somebody else to understand and be with me. Where's my cupid?? **Hmmm.......**I guess they are just too many crimes nowadays.....
OMG!!! Is that my cupid???
**SIGH** Do we have to be so pathetic?? **LOL** I believe we don't have to. We can choose not to. Humans are always complicated and it is not girls only but guys too. We don't have to be the "roses on the street".
Single people like us are not sat bai. It is just not our day or year perhaps, I would say. A twinge of sadness is inevitable but if we hold on together, everything would be fine. If not, try to find a professional cupid, I was thinking of him too...If he helps, i will tell you all **Wuahaha**
Cupid Bond
I went to a campaign about love yesterday, is about violence against women. One part of the exhibition is how to embrace women. In my mind, if you as women would like guys to embrace you, first of all carry yourself well. Embracing each other is always better than embracing one. Couples...I have some comments to all of you. If you hope that the other one of yours is the one you hope to share your life with, and wish he or she is the one you can build your home with. Do cherish and appreciate them. If both of of you are made for each other, there's no reason for you to create unnecessary chaos in the relationships. Don't always bring out the issue of last time, and don't be too materialistic in a relationships. Girls don't always ask for gifts or worse....like gucci, chanel, prada. Sometimes sacrificing a bit will lead your both relationship to a better stage. Never run away from each other when they need you the most. Trust me, because of all these, two of you will be much more happier. This is what I think lack the most in nowadays girl and boy relationship. Sometimes, I realize lesbians or gays can handle their relationships better than the straights. No offend.
Okay okay...a bit loso here. **Sentimental** Happy valentine to my friends. If you need consultation just give a call or chat with me. I am available 24 hours at your service. Free of charge during valentine and CNY period.
Whenever there is night market or pasar malam, the place would definitely going to be very happening at night. There are just so many people squeezing here and there. In other words, is like another Sungei Wang but is the open air type lah.
I have first went to a restaurant called Sheng Kei, my friends and I ordered the restaurant specialty.
Curry Fish Head
After having the feast, we went for a walk around. Many stalls selling Chinese New year decorations were set up and the crowd was really immense. Looking through all sorts of decors, I realize this special angpao.
Now you see.....
Now you don't.....
The pasar malam is joined by the Rocket team also. They are really so hardworking. Standing at the corner and exclaiming their vision & mission.
Fly rocket, fly!!!
I was really upset because I didn't get to see my idol performing in the pasar malam. Perhaps, she is having sore throat. Let me tell you...she is the most amazing salesperson in the pasar malam I ever see. She will really get your attention right away you pass her stall. Too bad, I can't show you all, but if there's a chance I will show you all next time.
Later on, one of friends talked about anklet, the conversation was something like that
Pink :Do you know bout ank let story?? Lala :What story? I dunno boh. Pink :Last time I bought one ank let at this pasar malam, then when I wear to school, my lecturer ask me the ank let, then blah blah, (more ank let) Taufu: **Thinking** "What is ank let? Is it an leg or ant's leg??????" Lala : **Thinking ** "???????????" What is ank let arh? Pink :Wear on the leg lah. Lala : ANKLET ah!!!! You pronounce as AN.....KLET not ANK....LET. Pink : **SWEAT** Lala &: Hahahahahaha......................... Taufu
Ant's leg????
After cracking the jokes, we went home and on the way back. We spotted a house with Chinese New Year decorations but the theme is Christmas......
"Gong Xi, Gong Xi...We wish you a very Christmas...."
What a pasar malam....Where the East meet the West. **Laugh** By the way, can someone please enlighten me, this pasar malam is actually SS2 or Chao Yang or something else????
My friends said I am crazy because i went to the Floral Parade at Putrajaya. Well, I don't find it crazy at all. I purposely wake up 6A.M, because it takes me approximately 1.5 hour for me to reach putrajaya, thanks to the KTM.
????????????
As a Sarawakian, I have never been to Putrajaya before, so like the other tourists, we are eager to visit Purajaya.
When I first reach there, one huge structure got my attention. First thing come to my mind ....
"Though the coconut might not as big as the FAMOUS blogger but I am sure the Putrajaya banana is definitely longer than him" **LOL..!!!**
The crowd, I would say not so bad but still don't really see lots of ang-moh. Perhaps, they are allergy to flowers. **Laugh**. Our kiasu neighbour seems like interested in flowers a lot until the extend that their zoo animals also came.
Look, giraffe in the bus !!!!!
In a floral parade, the thing you see is of course the floats decorated with flowers. The winning float is made by Kiam Siap people **Erhmm....** from the Pearl of the Orient.
Yes, is Penang. Island that full of "pearl"
Not to be missed is SARAWAK!!! Go go go....Aller aller aller !!! I hope no one ask me....
"Ooooo..... how they come to Putrajaya?"
Float is not the only thing you can watch, there are more than 10 school bands competing with each others but no St Joseph band **Wuahahaha**. Not only that, you get to see leng lui.
The parade lasts for around 2 and half hours. Hanging around, hoping to find some nice food at the temporary stalls which set up under the hot sun. As what I have thought, all are the fried stuff like lekor, pisang goreng, nasi lemak........and I am not going to eat the food when I almost got "fainted" because of the heat. Thirst for some drinks, I walk around and I see this.
Halal Mecca Cola?? Produce in Mecca??
Naaaa.......Not a cola fan anyway. I don't want to be like friend who drinks cola as daily mineral water. So, I bought myself something cooling, refreshing yet healthy....
Yap, is coconut again but with jelly inside. (Cost me 4 MYR)
Halfway walking, I realize there are actually temporary toilets everywhere, though I was tempted to use but when I saw there is water leaking out from the bottom, I feel so disgusted. Then, I just have to tighten up my pant. **Hahahaha**
Again, this is what always happen in Malaysia. Putrajaya is full of gigantic building but they just can't provide enough rubbish bin. Sad to say that.
**SIGH**
On the way back, I use KLIA transit and when I step in, the train was full of flower fragrance.
Maybe I should have my wedding here.
I realize I got sunburn when I reach home
It is a great experience for me though. Overall, I would say the parade is well done but lots of spaces can be improved. Maybe the banana will grow longer when I go next time.**sweat** It shall remain a nice memory for me.
I am a simple person yet complicated. See things as something funny, of coz be serious whenever it is necessary. Well, if you like to know about me, just have a look at my blog or friendster.
